I review upscale restaurants and discuss food and travel. I focus mainly on Toronto, New York and Palm Beach, as well as on my own cooking.
I am a Gatsby-type character who really does live in a big French-style house just outside the city, Rather than spending all of my free time pondering the green light and the Daisy Buchanan-like girl I lost, I have decided to enjoy being a gourmet foodie, eating at the best restaurants, and sharing my experiences. I also write about books and publishing.
While Daisy is lost to me, the finest meals are not. I hope you enjoy my sense of humor and observations on life. Bon Appetit!
P.G. Wodehouse fans can rejoice as Overlook Press has republished the complete works of one of my favorite humorists in hardcover. I took these two pictures here myself at home of some of the titles in the series I have recently acquired.
As Wodehouse fans know, he was rather prolific and published about 100 books during his lifetime. Most are available only in paperback and many are out of print - at least until Overlook Press came to the rescue.
Only 15 books are in the Jeeves and Wooster series, so many people are surprised to learn that P.G Wodehouse wrote 100 books. Now, instead of yellowing out of print paperback versions, fans can treat themselves to fresh new hardcovers of all the books. I have 25 titles so far. I have many a happy teenage memory reading one of the Jeeves & Wooster novels - some featuring the Madeline Bassett character are so funny they bring tears to the eyes and hoots of laughter.
