I review upscale restaurants and discuss food and travel. I focus mainly on Toronto, New York and Palm Beach, as well as on my own cooking.
I am a Gatsby-type character who really does live in a big French-style house just outside the city, Rather than spending all of my free time pondering the green light and the Daisy Buchanan-like girl I lost, I have decided to enjoy being a gourmet foodie, eating at the best restaurants, and sharing my experiences. I also write about books and publishing.
While Daisy is lost to me, the finest meals are not. I hope you enjoy my sense of humor and observations on life. Bon Appetit!
Sad news: The Chapters bookstore located at Bloor West and Runnymeade in west Toronto will be closing in 2014. This bookstore, opened in 1999, moved into the old movie theatre that was built in 1927 and left the historic interior intact. This bookstore often makes the list of the 10 most interesting bookstore interiors in the world. It will be sad for Toronto to see it go. Word is a drug store will be moving in instead.
